Accessibility
Effective June 1, 2026
At ÜLRIC, we believe that beauty, care, and connection should be accessible to everyone.
Our commitment to inclusivity extends beyond our salon and into our digital presence. We want every guest — regardless of ability — to be able to navigate, explore, and interact with our website with confidence and ease.
Our Accessibility Commitment
ÜLRIC is committed to providing a website experience that meets the needs of all users, including those with:
-
Vision impairments (screen reader use, color contrast sensitivity)
-
Mobility limitations (keyboard navigation)
-
Hearing impairments
-
Cognitive or neurological conditions (ADHD, dyslexia, etc.)
We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the recognized global standard for digital accessibility.
Steps We’re Taking
-
Structured content using semantic HTML for screen reader compatibility
-
Alt text added to all meaningful images
-
Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
-
Logical heading hierarchy and tab order
-
Keyboard navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements
-
No autoplay audio/video content without user controls
-
Ongoing testing using accessibility tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WAVE, manual screen reader tests)
🇨🇦 Compliance with Canadian Law
Our accessibility efforts align with:
-
The Accessible Canada Act
-
Quebec’s Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms
-
Canada’s Human Rights Act, which prohibits digital discrimination
We are also guided by the spirit of Bill 25, ensuring that user dignity and data privacy go hand in hand.
